This trompe l'oeil stairway was created for an Illinois restaurant's private dining room, which has a "castle" theme. A major consideration on this project was that the owners plan future expansion/renovation, therefore the mural needed to be movable. I painted this stairway on a masonite panel...cutting it out along the edges of the "stone" archway. The panel was attached to the wall with screws, so it can be repositioned in the future if necessary. This mural is approximately 4 feet wide by 8 feet tall.
